The dress has a V-neck, long puff sleeves, and side pockets, and fastens with shank buttons.

Suitable Fabric:

For both variations, choose a lightweight, non-stretch, fairly drapey fabric. Good options includeviscose challis and crepe, cotton lawn, or washed linen.

Fabric Requirements:

The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.

Tunic: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 160 – 215 cm (1 3/4 – 2 3/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 190 – 305 cm (2 1/8 – 3 3/8 yd).

Dress: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 240 – 360 cm (2 5/8 – 3 7/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 340 – 490 cm (3 3/4 – 5 3/8 yd).

Supplies:

Tunic: 95 cm (1 yd) of fusible interfacing // Dress: 160 cm (1 3/4 yd) of fusible interfacing; eleven 8-10 mm (3/8″) shank buttons; 70 cm (28″) of narrow ribbon for button loops (optional, you can use ribbon for the button loops, or make them from your fabric).
